Blogberry.de auf dem neuestem Stand

Heute eine kurze interne Meldung:

Blogberry.de läuft ja mit der Blogsoftware Wordpress. Da in den letzten Wochen vermehrt Sicherheitsupdates von Wordpress veröffentlicht wurden, war es unumgänglich, das System auf den neuesten Stand zu bringen.

Freitag Mittag ist vielleicht nicht die allerbeste Zeit für so ein Update, aber ich hoffe ihr habt nicht allzuviel davon mitbekommen. Blogberry.de läuft ab sofort mit Wordpress Version 2.8.4. Zugleich habe ich versucht, möglichst viele Plugins (Erweiterungen) auf den aktuellen Versionsstand zu bringen.

Auch das hat weitestgehend funktioniert, lediglich das Plugin für die Umfragen (die gelbe Box auf der rechten Seite) und die Anzeige der beliebtesten Artikel (mittlere Box oben) macht noch Probleme. Sobald ich dafür eine Strategie habe, werde ich auch diese Erweiterungen noch updaten.

Die Funktion “Artikel per eMail weiterempfehlen” (siehe Screenshot) werde ich ersatzlos streichen.

Von knapp 600.000 Besuchern im Jahr 2009 haben 9 Leser diese Funktion genutzt. Diese verschwindend geringe Menge steht in keiner Relation zu dem vergleichsweise hohen Aufwand, den die Pflege dieses Plugins kostet.
